Hey, I went to the Zoo in Helsinki as part of a 2 week erasmus trip. I don't like being in Zoos, but they are an incredibly useful resource for artists to hone their skills and expand their understanding of animals, textures, structures and movement. Therefore as an art student i find myself in zoos, so i try to make the most out of it.

This is from a short afternoon trip to the zoo. I made these drawing using a mechanical pencil and a soft brush pen. The brush pen was water soluble, so when it started raining a little bit, it messed with the ink. But I like how that looks. It makes it a documentation of the experience; the animals, the artists, the paper, the medium, the moment.
